Pit to port, bulk commodities.
A bulk and container commodity trading house — chrome, coal, rare earths and mining chemicals, moved in bulk or in container. We run the chain ourselves, mine gate to vessel.
Trading · Logistics (truck & rail) · Mining
Three things a counterparty needs before a first call: what we hold, how we move it, and who to speak to.
Commodities
Chrome concentrate and coal by grade, and parcel size. Rare earths, mining chemicals and niche minerals on confirmed demand. Bulk or container.
Capabilities
Trading, rail freight, siding management and material handling — the full pit-to-port chain.
Contact
Routed by counterparty type — buyers, producers and suppliers, general. Named contacts, direct email.
One contract, mine gate to vessel.
IT AND E (Pty) Ltd is a South African bulk and container commodity trading house, trading since August 2017.
Our capability runs the length of the chain: washing and concentration, road haulage, rail on our own Transnet Freight Rail account, siding access, port handling, clearing and forwarding, vessel loading, ocean freight and independent assay. Part of it we own, the rest sits inside an established partner network — either way it is delivered under one contract, in our name. The counterparty buys material and movement from a single entity, not from a chain of introducers, each taking a margin and none carrying the risk.
Chrome and coal are where the plant, the tonnage and the track record sit, so that is where we start. Rare earths, mining chemicals, sulphur, and other commodities like tungsten are lines we are actively opening, traded against confirmed demand.
Pit-to-port solutions in bulk and container commodities
Four services that work together. Most counterparties come for one and end up using all four, because the handover between them is where bulk cargo usually goes wrong.
Trading
01Physical trade in chrome, coal, manganese and magnetite. We buy at the mine and sell to the end user, taking title and carrying the position.
Rail freight
02Wagon bookings, train planning and execution on the export corridors, so tonnage moves to a schedule rather than to whatever road capacity is free.
Siding management
03Operating the siding itself — tipping, loading, weighbridge, wagon turnaround and the paperwork each movement generates.
Material handling
04Robust material handling fleets delivering high-volume train loading, rail yard shunting and rapid truck turnaround.
From the mine to the vessel.
Sourcing, rail freight, siding handling and stockpiling, independent assay, export documentation and payment structuring — each step is set out on the capabilities page, including who performs it and what the buyer receives.
Send the specification. We will answer with availability.
Grade, tonnage, destination port and Incoterm is enough to open a conversation. We do not publish prices.
